![]() He is also correct as I do tend to spend more time in there as I have found Steam hostile towards developers which people see sometimes as some sort of vacuous entity and not a human with thoughts and feelings of their own where a small point can be blown out of proportion because an argument can linger for weeks, rest assured though I do have a look through here from time to time and my staff are also here fairly regularly and inform me if there is anything interesting I should know or if there is anyone I should respond too.įrom what I am gathering you are having trouble with power? It wasn't quite clear as to what the issue was. The reason this beta patch isn't on the Steam main branch as I wanted to keep numbers low while I test things as it had a few critical bugs which needed ironing out, thankfully I think most of them have gone and it will be appearing on the main branch soon where I will be looking forward to hearing your feedback on it. ![]() Hello, I am delighted to get constructive feedback on Steam, I think what Sargent Syrup is trying to say that the current beta testing works best if you are part of the Discord group as you get the updates and announcements as to what each patch does and also get to join in with the community there who can help diagnose issues and give instantaneous feedback in the form of chats, other games also use Discord for this or Reddit or even their own external forums to the game for their experimental patch testing. To focus on them as if they were the main feature is to throw the baby out with the bath water. But that is not the form or substance of most comments. Having been subjected to scurrilous, mean spirited attacks on other forums, I'm no stranger to the hostility that is possible. ![]() Nor is it clear that somehow comments are magically helpful to the game, the community, or the dev on a discord but are unhelpful, hostile, or unwelcome in an open forum, which, if memory serves, is full of comments, suggestions, concerns about performance, etc., many of which point to areas for improvement. It seems odd that having asked people to pay for a game with the expectation of using the money to help with continued development that feedback is not welcome.
